What’s the most rewarding part of your role?

Working in market access is incredibly rewarding when you look at the bigger picture. Ultimately, we help get treatments to the patients who need them, faster.

What’s something you’ve learned that changed the way you work?

Sometimes starting is the hardest part. I’ve learned ways to quickly pinpoint what I need at the start of a project and kick things off effectively. Examples include filtering large data sets or leveraging frameworks from past projects, which both lead to faster, higher-quality outputs.

If you had to explain what you do to a 10-year-old, how would you describe it?

The work I do helps new drugs be available to the people around the world who need them. I do this by giving recommendations based on data/evidence.

What’s your go-to approach when solving a difficult problem?

I break problems into smaller pieces and stay organized, which makes it easier for colleagues to collaborate. Organizing my thoughts often makes the solution clearer.

What’s one piece of advice you always come back to?

I always try to listen (or read!) first, act second. This helps me to make sure I fully understand the task before taking action.
